Gall Thomson has opened a state-of-the-art technology centre in the UK that will be used for the design, production, refurbishment and testing of marine breakaway couplings.

Gall Thomson is the global market leader in the design, production and application of Marine Breakaway Couplings. The Gall Thomson Marine Breakaway Coupling protects assets, personnel and the environment by separating and closing the flow of product through an offshore hose transfer system in the event of an emergency.

The Technology Centre is located in Great Yarmouth UK and contains the latest in assembly line and design technology.

Pat Webster Head of Operations at the Great Yarmouth UK facility commented, "The capability and additional capacity offered by the Gall Thomson UK Technology Centre allows us to efficiently meet ever increasing demand for our technology".

The Technology Centre is part of a comprehensive investment programme designed to substantially increase and consolidate Gall Thomson’s technical and commercial market leading position.

As a consequence of this investment and increasing global sales, the Gall Thomson design and sales engineer teams have more than doubled in the last six months. The Technology Centre is therefore an important development in the enhancement of Gall Thomson capabilities.

An exceptional start to 2014 confirms the Gall Thomson expansion strategy is delivering the expected results.
