Foam Monitoring
Arjay uses capacitance probes to monitor the gaseous vapour phase of the vessel.
Arjay Engineering produces ppm oil in water analysers, monitors and control instruments for both industrial and municipal applications.
Arjay Engineering produces ppm oil in water analysers, monitors and control instruments for both industrial and municipal applications. These include the petrochemical industry for upstream and downstream wastewater and oil/water separator monitoring and control in applications such as:
Arjay Engineering provides ppm oil in water analysers, oil on water detection, as well as oil/water separator interface and emulsion alarms. For ppm monitoring, UV fluorescence is typically used. The Arjay light scatter approach is perfect for affordable cooling water leak alarms. Interface and oil thickness monitors employ a capacitance technique for reliable low-cost monitoring.
For produced water monitoring, the HydroSense 2410 is the model of choice. This analyser uses UV fluorescence to target the aromatics in the water. Through a simple site calibration, the aromatic response is correlated to a total oil reading in ppm.
Arjay level controls are used to monitor and control the oil-water interface levels within tanks. The robust probe design does not have optics or moving parts that can foul.
High pressure and a wide temperature range make these an ideal choice for monitoring and control of processes, pumps and valves.
The Arjay float sensors continuously monitor for oil separated to the surface of the water. Simple on/off alarms and oil thickness monitors are used to alert when the accumulation of surface oil requires attention or to shut down pumps that may inadvertently pump oil to drain.
The Arjay capacitance level controls have a lengthy and reassuring background of reliability. Arjay Engineering offers basic probe mounted transmitters and on/off switches.
Arjay level controls are available to meet level display requirements and have a remote control with multiple relay points and proportional outputs.
These can be coupled with any Arjay probe for continuous and point level applications of liquids and solids.
Any of the Arjay HydroSense series is suitable for leak alarming. 2410 is the industrial non-contacting design for untreated or turbid wastewater.
The 4410-OCM and 4420-OCM are the more economical choices and can be used for filtered wastewater or water that is free of suspended solids and turbidity. For bilge and ballast oil content separator applications, the 2410 and 4410-LMP carry IMO approval for MEPC.107(49).
Heat transfer systems can contaminate the water with oil through pinhole leaks. The Arjay controls will monitor for these leaks. The HydroSense 2410 and 4410-LMP specifically target petroleum oils where animal or vegetable oils do not want to be alarmed.
The HydroSense 4420-OCM will respond to any free oil type.
There are many approvals and certifications carried by Arjay products. They vary by product but include ISO 9001, ABS (American Bureau of Shipping), IMO (International Maritime Organization), CSA, UL, CE, CRN and ABSA.
Certain products can be used in zone one and two, division one and two hazardous locations through their third party approved explosion-proof packaging (Ex d), non-incendive design (Ex n), intrinsic safety barriers (Ex i) or by a purging pressurisation option (Ex p and EEx p).
Arjay can provide custom panels and systems to suit your needs. Speciality racks can be designed to accommodate accessories and support instrumentation for your application.
Arjay uses capacitance probes to monitor the gaseous vapour phase of the vessel.
Arjay uses capacitance probes to monitor the dielectric of the liquid at multiple points in the tank.
On offshore production platforms, these are typically found after the final oil / water separation phase and prior to the produced water discharge.
The cutting-edge Hydrosense 4410-OCM system from Arjay Engineering offers reliable, real-time flow-through parts-per-million (ppm) monitoring of both petroleum and non-petroleum oil in water.
